Privacy policy

SwatchDay: Custom Colors for Calendar. Effective October 16, 2026.

SwatchDay collects no data. It does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal information, calendar contents, browsing history, or usage analytics.

What the extension does

It runs only on calendar.google.com. It reads event titles that Google Calendar has already drawn in the page, plus the event id attribute on those chips, and changes their colors. Matching and coloring happen entirely on your device.

Storage

Keyword rules, the on/off switch, the color palette, and per-event custom colors are saved with Chrome's local extension storage (chrome.storage.local) on your computer. A custom color record stores the event id shown in the page, the color, and the title as it was displayed when you picked the color. None of this leaves your device. Uninstalling the extension deletes it.

Permissions

Network

The extension makes no network requests. It does not use the Google Calendar API. It includes no third-party analytics, ads, remote code, or trackers.

Changes

If this policy changes (for example, if an optional paid license is added later), the updated policy will be posted with a new effective date before the change takes effect.
